Hyderabad Angels a conglomerate of Angel Investors fostering early stage investments to enterprising innovators has invested Rs 2 Cr in to a Hyderabad based Edutor Technologies.
Edutor is an E-learning start up which develops and markets interactive learning platforms for K12 students on touch devices like Tablets PCs or iPads. Edutor has collaborated with several International and Indian educational content publishers. The company operates from Hyderabad and Bangalore. “This strategic investment will further boost our efforts in delivering more innovations in the learning and education space,” said Ram Gollamudi, chief executive of the technology firm. These funds will also boost his vision for expansion, across the nation.
The investments funded by a serial entrepreneur Sashi Reddy and his associates, all of them reputed personalities with a sole motivation to churn up the start up syndrome are worth acknowledgements. Way2World admires their initiative and salutes the stalwarts for their vision.
Edutor Technologies founded by graduates of IIT Chennai and IIM has announced the launch of Edutor Advantage e40, India’s First Handheld Home Learning Device, an out of the box product, ideally for students. e40 has a 4.3-inch LCD-backlit touch screen. About the product, Ram said “Edutor Advantage is designed to give Indian school students a measurable home learning advantage. Advantage e40 user interface is very intuitive and easy to use for children of all ages. The touchscreen device is preloaded with a student’s class-specific, curriculum-aligned content with an option to upgrade as the student moves to higher classes. In addition to subjects like Maths, Science, Social Studies and English, Advantage e40 features Extra-curricular activities – Basics of Cricket, Yoga & Karate, Spoken English Content & Wikipedia topics. Our intent is to offer a completely out-of- box home grown solution which will become a perfect home learning tool for CBSE students and supplements what is being taught in the class in an effective manner.”
