ECOSURE Events spearheaded by Dr K S Murthy, a renowned name in the media circles conducts an annual event honouring the former President. During this event it has become a tradition to honour prominent personalities from various walks of life.
The official communique states that this year, ‘On 31st July, 2019, APJA KALAM MEMEMORIAL AWARDS CEREMONY will take place at Hotel MetroPolis, Hyderabad.’ In our endeavour to endorse catalysts that inturn encourages few more to take up the noble paths to pioneer in their domains of interest, is our mission.
It is a national fact and prestige that Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, an aerospace scientist, served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 and is prominently known as the ‘Missile man of India’. He loved children and encouraged youth to ‘dare to dream’ and achieve them. In his fond memory ECOSURE announced APJA KALAM MEMEMORIAL AWARDS CEREMONY, as their flagship annual event.
This year the list of awardees would be honoured by Shri E. V. Narsimha Reddy garu, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corpn. Ltd.

Dr. SHANTA THOUTAM earned MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the New Mexico State University (NMSU), USA. She also received BTech in Electronics & Instrumentation, bagging a Gold Medal and name inscribed on the Roll of Honour at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Warangal. After graduating from NMSU, she worked for 5+ years as Analog IC Designer in Austin, Texas.
While pursuing her PhD, she had an opportunity to serve the Arrowhead Center, primary economic development arm of NMSU, in various capacities including Technology Commercialization Associate, Commercialization Analyst, Director of Launch Competition, a Proof of Concept Center & a technology commercialization accelerator that created 10 startups and 10+ patents.
As a Women Innovation Leader in the largest Incubator of India (going to be World’s largest in a year time from now) and PhD holder returned from USA to India to help create impact in the space of innovation, women empowerment, sustainability, renewable energy, social impact and malnutrition, she have been leading some of the top innovation programs in the country helping 75+ cohort startups to scale, with 6 of the got acquired, and raise $68+ million.
