HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT WHAT MY CONTRIBUTION TO THE SOCIETY IS?
AM I WORKING FOR THE BETTERMENT OF HUMANITY?
WHAT IS MY VALUE ADDITION TO THE PEOPLE?
All these seem to be big words and in reality, we would always be pondering over them when we are in leisure. However, each of us in the society performing our duties efficiently contribute to the overall well being of the community.
This is very true! Do what you do efficiently, put in your best foot forward and do not postpone. These three factors pay greater dividends on the long run. No matter what small task you do put your signature on the way you go about and see the difference.
Similarly, an entrepreneur contributes to the betterment of mankind with innovation, whatever be the product or services, the sole objective of each novelty is to enhance the experience of the end user.
I was always perplexed with a bedtime story from Ramayana. The story of a dray or a scurry of squirrels rolled over sand with a wet body.
They collected the sand stuck to their backs and deposited the same on the boulders that were placed across the ocean for the Lord Rama to cross over and fight with King Ravana.
While the major work was performed by the Vanaras (Lord Hanuman and his friends), the squirrels did their best to assist the bridge building task.
This was an insignificant task in the whole operation. However, the spirits of the helping squirrels must be lauded here, who wished to be of some use to the LORD.
The morale of the story applies to all of us, in our day-to-day lives as well. Taking pride in what we do and doing best does have a positive impact on the overall scenario.
Every tech-student must find out the pain points of the society in their domains and try to address them. Every engineering college is a R&D centre with faculties/mentors from many prominent domains working at one place.
Normally for an outsider getting the guidance of various domain experts would be an expensive affair. Nevertheless, the resources are unlimited for tech-students.
Hence, nurture your ambitions with guidance from experts and try being job providers with the help of your entrepreneurship cells in your colleges.
