After my failures, I decided to talk about what makes a starter to turn his dreams into reality. Start up is conceived from an idea and by meddling with your idea, the chances of turning it into a start up is inevitable. But generally all of us get ideas. I remember while I was addressing a gathering in a University in Andhra Pradesh, one student came up with an idea of inventing an ATM machine, which could accept cash deposits. Well a similar version which is right now available is the cash envelope and that does not credit the money in your account till the next day. But this guy said he was planning something which would do the work instantly. Your deposit will be treated like across the counter. Everyone around laughed but I was very positive about the idea. I was constantly in touch with him but the initial enthusiasm faded out in him. Subsequently we lost contact too.
The fundamental strength of a student who has a new idea is his confidence in self. You are here with all the technical education to treat your idea as something which just needs steps to formulate than treating it like a dream. When I say steps, the idea once conceived must be well worked on. Look at the pros and cons of the idea. Search the internet for all relevant details. And correlate them. If you get the exact product in your mind set, then start discussing with your peers and friends. Remember every critic is offering you free suggestions to improvise your idea into consumer friendly product or service.Another important aspect at the infant stage of idea conceptualizing, please shed your inhibitions. If you travel with them, they will overburden you and you might not move further. In reality, every start up would have faced numerous criticisms from all around. Very few people were given a red carpet welcome in the initial stages. Neither Bill Gates nor K R Narayanamoorthy would disagree with me. But it is the perseverance that made the difference and seen as they are today.
