Ivanka addressed the plenary session on the most essential aspect for women empowerment, which will subsequently lead to women entrepreneurship. She added, “Having diversity is better business. It’s therefore a fiscal responsibility of businesses to their shareholders to balance the gender gap in the labour force.” The topic of discussion was “We Can Do It! Innovations in Workforce Development and Skills Training.” She also emphasized that technology drives entrepreneurship which gives the necessary boost to women to turn as independent entrepreneurs while flexibly managing their families.
Voicing similar opinion Chanda Kochhar also said that while encouraging entrepreneurship in the country, work from home option was also an ideal preposition to balance both roles of a woman entrepreneur. She conclude, “It’s the desire, support and ecosystem of the organisation where women work that will help them break the glass ceiling. Recognition of work keeps us going.”
On the other hand, Sania Mirza felt Sports must become a culture in India. Manushi Chhillar voiced for gender equality. Karen Quintos advised women to stay on course when things get difficult on their road to success. In addition, Cherie Blair spoke about the 3Cs that women entrepreneurship need most to succeed. They were Confidence, Capabilities, access to Capital.
