Gutsy survive while others perish
ENTREPRENEURSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
Engineering Students pl spare a moment. The motivation maven Jim Rohn once said, “It’s not the blowing of the wind, it’s the set of your sail.”
This advice is particularly sage in this dire economic climate. Every generation imagines that theirs is the most challenging. With the global downturn since 2008, everyone is feeling the tension of an seemingly uncertain future.
How does the individual flourish in the face of what seems to be such overwhelming circumstances? You need look no further than your own thoughts. Thoughts are energy, which can be directed either positively, or negatively.
It is important to evolve an iron clad set of personal principles that will sustain the self when things are challenging.
Number one, believing you will succeed or fail pretty much defines your outcome. Henry Ford alluded to this: “Whether you think you can or can’t you’re right.”
Number two, is having a goal in time. You need a VISION, and need to take definitive steps, on a regular basis, to move progressively towards making your vision manifest.
Number three, you must be flexible, and be prepared to adjust your approach when your methods do not work. Remember that there is no failure, only outcome. However, you must act. Action is the progeny of thought. If your thoughts and planning are sound, the outcome will be positive.
So remember, in the storm of economic adversity, set your sail with logical, careful planning, a vision of what you want to accomplish, and the preparedness of working towards it DAILY in order to achieve success. (Maggie Barabulea – barabulea.maggie@gmail.com)
