FTAPCCI EVENT ON EXPORT RISK MANAGEMENT & MARKETING

The second day at FTAPCCI (Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM: LEARN HOW TO START EXPORT BUSINESS at Hyderabad was very informative.

The event on Friday (09 February 18) was equally edifying like the earlier session. The gathering of aspiring exporters had valuable information delivered by eminent speakers from governing authorities. R KULKARNI, Joint Dir – FTAPCCI conducted the meticulously scheduled event with ease.

The opening address gave an overview about foreign exchange management act and regulation covering export transactions. D SUDHAKAR Assistant Manager, Foreign Exchange department, Reserve Bank of India, handled the subject deftly.

The senior gentleman gave detailed answers to the query raised by the participants in the interactive session. His colleague P KALYAN CHAKRAVARTHY Assistant General Manager, Foreign Exchange department, Reserve Bank of India lectured on the currency risk management in international business.

RAMAIAH, Assistant General Manager & Balanagar Branch Incharge, SIDBI briefed about Marketing and support schemes of SIDBI for international trade. The entire presentation dealt with the ways his organization serves the export community.

He emphasized that this was the right time to start exports, if not earlier, as the export ecosystem was very exporter friendly. In addition, he also spoke about the various schemes offered by SIDBI to promote the MSME segment. He concluded that interested could meet him at his office to take decisions in the prospective directions.

J SUDHAKAR, Senior Manager, ECGC Limited addressed the participants about the export credit insurance and risk coverage. In his address he said, calculating the risk with global information and taking the appropriate coverage would help the exporter succeed in the venture.

KANTA RAO, Manager, National Small Industries Corporation addressed the participants with immense information. He highlighted on various schemes offered by NSIC and about the ways exporters could utilize them, for ensuring success.

The detailed lecture was quite interesting and many realized the helping hand of NSIC, while participating in various overseas exhibitions. He concluded that exhibitions were best events to meet overseas buyers to market the products.

It was a field day for the participants. Their enthusiasm was awe-inspiring with abundant information on hand. This event helped many decide their future career plans.
