These instances tend to be more severe, frequently resulting in enduring impairments and on occasion, tragic outcomes.
SADENT was started by CHITTA. SRI YASASWI KASYAP, the founder and Innovator along with his product designer SANGIREDDY SREEJA REDDY in the year 2020. This Hyderabad-based StartUp was incubated at IIT MANDI CATALYST, north campus, Himachal Pradesh. SADENT is trying to solve this issue by designing products that save riders from injuries in these tough times.
Way2World caught upon this innovator on a candid chat about this noble initiative called SADENT.
How are you seeing a two-wheeler accident in the country?
TWO-WHEELER ACCIDENT mostly leads to injury. Saving people from two-wheeler injuries when an accident occurs is the most important. Nowadays two-wheeler accidents are increasing enormously day by day. According to national crime records of the Bureau and World Health Organization around 2000+ people are exposed to injuries and around 500+ people are dying because of two-wheeler accidents. There’s no decrease in this rate. This is the major problem of the occurrence of two-wheeler accidents. The motive of SADENT is to save people from two-wheeler accident injury
How is SADENT trying to solve this issue of concern?
The Overall Safety Kit (Airbags & Seatbelts) For Two Wheelers To Protect Travellers From Accidental Injuries. WE DREAM OF SAVING PEOPLE FROM TWO WHEELER ACCIDENT INJURIES. SADENT Is abbreviated as SAFE ACCIDENT which is innovated for two-wheelers where the main intention of this source is to save persons from injuries by stopping them from coming in contact with the road.

AIRBAGS IN TWO-WHEELER This innovation mainly concentrates on saving persons by deploying an airbag within no time when there is a situation of unbalancing This study will be helpful at an angle where the person cannot bear the weight of the bike and at a position where the rider is about to fall In this scenario this invention will be useful in avoiding injuries by deploying the airbag and covering the arms legs and head of the persons on the bike
SEAT BELTS IN TWO-WHEELER There are many cases of people jumping from their bikes and getting in contact with the road This is also a major defect in two-wheelers. the person in place on the bike even though the accident occurs seat belts in two-wheeler perform a crucial role in decreasing this defect and stopping the person from jumping from the bike.
How did you start on this innovation, what could be your motivation?
I personally experienced one moment when I was riding the bike under the safe speed limit when suddenly a car bumped the rear side. came into contact with the road and slid to a certain distance with the same amount of impact. That led to a hand elbow fracture and knee damage. There was one more deadly accident which my brother met with. It almost took him 6 months to recover. I also noticed such accidents in my friend circle. By taking all these personal experiences into consideration I thought why these accidents are increasing boundlessly.
Does this mean because of these few incidents you took to the idea?
Actually, I have checked the “National Crime Records Bureau” and “WHO” to determine what impact that’s actually creating a problem for people. By checking their reports I couldn’t even take it to my heart. Every year the number of accidents all over India is crossing 500+. Then I started researching on what is the actual drawback.
What were the conditions you concentrated on to make this marvellous innovation?
We analysed, If the rider is riding the bike too fast and suddenly realizes that an obstacle came all of sudden then he/she can’t control the bike because of the speed or abnormal road. Nowadays bikes are blessed with good BHP (Break Horse Power) by using that a person can control the bike. It depends on the rider because the mind state of the rider will jump into that stage where he/she cannot judge how to control the bike at that position.
However, The major accident scale is due to wheel skidding. This can be because of abnormal roads or if any obstacle hits the bike from the rear side as I experienced. That will lead to wheel skidding and the persons who are sitting on the bike will come into contact with the road and based upon the distance they slide the injuries will come into play. I gathered all the necessary information and started building a remedy that can overcome this drawback and that led to the birth of SADENT.
Congratulations on your admirable innovation, which holds immense potential for global impact, particularly in the developing regions where two-wheelers serve as the most effective means of transportation. In which stage is your innovation at the moment?
We are ready with a working prototype and a granted patent. At present, we are converting our product from prototype to MVP (Minimum Valuable Product) with the materials that we imported from China & Rajasthan. Our plan is to enter into market with the collaboration of OEM manufacturers or two-wheeler manufacturing companies by next year.
Can you briefly talk about the main motivation behind SADENT?
The main motive of this innovation is to save people from accidents. I believe in my innovation this saves many people. But, because of the lack of connections and lack of R&D experts time consumption takes more but, down the lane, we will be into the market. But, if this innovation goes to the hands of big players very soon we can see airbags in two-wheelers. That is the reason we are also ready to sell this innovation to save people
How did your team do all this and what were the hurdles?
The biggest obstacle in my life was my father’s death. This obstacle took me 10 years to get into normal life. Then I decided to make my family proud. From that thought, the life of entrepreneurship excited me more. Even in this journey, I faced many rejections. The main problem I faced was getting the right path and connections. I overcame that situation with the motivation & support given by my brother and my well-wisher. I believe in my innovation and my work. After my father’s death, I took all my obstacles as a challenge.
What is the journey onward for SADENT?
We are currently engaged in discussions with several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and companies in the two-wheeler industry. We have established connections and are awaiting their responses. If the opportunity arises to engage with prominent manufacturers and two-wheeler companies, our initial step will involve presenting our innovation for their validation. We are keen to understand their perspective on new innovations and their vision for integrating our innovation into their two-wheeler designs. Should the circumstances permit, we are open to the idea of collaborating closely with these companies to bring our innovation to the market. Additionally, we are open to the possibility of selling our innovation to those companies that express interest in taking it forward.
Tell us something about the competitor’s landscape and your edge in the competition.
Numerous innovations have surfaced regarding the integration of airbags in two-wheelers; however, most of these innovations come with substantial costs and are primarily geared towards rider safety. These advancements primarily focus on safeguarding the upper body, particularly above the hips.
In contrast, SADENT stands out as a cost-effective solution due to its distinctive airbag design, which extends its protective coverage to the shoulders, elbows, and knees of all passengers riding on the two-wheeler. Most importantly this ‘Make In India’ initiative, SADENT has been developed with consideration for the unique conditions of Indian roads.
