Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 is sure to take Indian women entrepreneurship to the next level. The event scheduled in Hyderabad, at the HYDERABAD INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE (HICC), today, is positively going to benefit the Indian women with global mentoring. This year’s summit is themed as ‘Women first, Prosperity for all.’ The previous seven GES were held at Washington DC, Istanbul, Marrakech, Nairobi, Kuala Lumpur and Silicon Valley.
The three-day event has many programs that include speeches from eminent entrepreneurship nurturing stalwarts, from across the world. The highlight of the event is the presence of Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States. She heads the American Delegation. Her presence will boost the women entrepreneurship in the country and that is a big energizer to the eves. Being a successful entrepreneur, Ivanka is to share her journey with the aspiring women at the summit.
It is an event that shall act as a platform for live wire networking and mentoring coupled with innovate workshops. The program is first of its kind in the country that shall yield a vital connection between the government and private agencies working in the sector. The previous summits held across the globe nurtured some excellent ventures that thrived on the contacts made at the summit.
The venue would create immense opportunities to the aspiring, in addition to providing chances to meet the champion investors. It is truly a global event with entrepreneurs travelling to India from all quarters of the globe. The participants would be from diverse backgrounds. This salient issue is going to have a positive effect on the women entrepreneurship climate in India, which is right now at a very low ebb.
In fact, women entrepreneurship has been the flag bearer for the Chinese economy to flourish, where as in our country the most women are restricted due to family pressures. However, if given a chance they would be ready to prove that they are nowhere behind their male counterparts.
From a cross section, our interaction with Priyankaa, a software engineer in a private company, believed that if given a right chance women could prove themselves. She further added that such events create awareness and give voice to the aspiring to take a call. Entrepreneurship is ideal for women as the timings are flexible and the TAT for success needs a lot of patience and innovation, which is abundant among the women.
Considering the Indian domestic scenario, women are multi tasking and have proven to be well balanced in their work schedules, while being innovative. This event is sure to inspire many such enterprising women and the coming future is certain to see a radical change in the women thought process across the nation. Way2World is planning to bring out a series of articles that would inspire women in creating their own niche in the business arena.
