Profound trust in one’s efforts and undeterred belief on the process can take an entrepreneur to places. From a remote village in Kerala, our hero of the day has conquered the qualms of the corporate world with his idly and dosa batter.
Musthafa, an early school dropout and born in a below poverty line family is today the founder of a 100 cr company that serves across the world. His saga must be a special case study in the entrepreneurship text book.
After failing in Class VI, this young entrepreneur resumed his education and did his engineering at NIT, Calicut. Later he went on to do an executive MBA at IIM, Bengaluru.
Initially he globe trotted with a prestigious job on hand, yet his entrepreneurship instincts kept awakening him. In 2006, while helping a friend in his kirana store, stuck upon an idea.
However his pillars of strength were his cousins Nasser, Shamsuddin, Jaffer and Naushad who stood by him in all odds and structured iD FRESH FOODS (India) P Ltd, today focused on becoming a 1000 cr company by 2020.
Conversely, Musthafa and his team started quite humbly in a 550 sft cottage with just two grinders and a sealing machine supplying just ten packets a day on scooter. The story today is totally changed. They have reached a stage where almost one million idly’s can be made with one day batter sales across India and Middle East.
Nevertheless, the most important USP of this enterprise is not to have any employees outside their factory. Each employee is a micro – entrepreneur, a strategy devised cleverly by this IIM alumnus in such a way that everyone makes a profitable living. This modus operandi not only strengthens the network but also encourages many to turn as small time entrepreneurs.
iD FRESH FOODS is shear example of dedication, team work and understanding the market demands. All these skills need to be the watch words of every upcoming entrepreneur. Way2world congratulates the iD FRESH FOODS team a grand success. Rajkishan
